The Robin Nott Performing Arts Company Scholarship

The GLCS Fine Arts Foundation is pleased to once again offer the Robin Nott Performing Arts Company Scholarship, to be awarded to a GLHS Graduating Senior who has actively participated in the GLHS Performing Arts Company for at least three years and who intends to continue his/her theatre education in college.

2024 Scholarship

To be eligible for the Scholarship, which is a one-time gift of $1,000, to be paid to the college or university, the student:

  • must have participated in the GLHS Performing Arts Company for at least three (3) years while at GLHS; and 

  • must have remained in good academic standing throughout high school. 

  • A strong preference will be given to the student who plans to continue theater education in college, as a major or a minor.

How to Apply

Fill out the Scholarship Application, available by clicking the icon to the right, or by request GLCSFineArtsFoundation@gmail.com.

Applicants must prepare a written essay, which responds to the following questions:

  1. How did involvement in Performing Arts Company affect your high school experience?

  2. In what way(s) will you pursue theatre education and experience after high school?

  3. How does theatre create community?

  4. Why is it important to preserve live theatre in our culture?

In addition to the essay, students are required to submit two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from a faculty member or community member relating to applicant’s experience in the Performing Arts Company.

Applications must be submitted to the GLCS FAF via PO Box 611, Richland, MI  49083 or by email to GLCSFineArtsFoundation@gmail.com no later than Friday, February 23, 2024.  Please submit two copies of all documents.

Applicants will be notified no later than March 31, 2024.
